Your customers depend on you to do your best to keep them safe when they enter your storefront. You are sure to keep the floors clean and dry to prevent slipping. But how are you keeping their credit card information safe?

  1. Frequently empty the register and put papers into the company safe. Thieves appreciate when you have all the papers under the register drawer. Those papers are often worth more than the paper money if the thief knows how to sell credit card numbers. Your customer’s data is more secure if you can eliminate paper entirely.
  2. Provide a touchless or contactless  payment system that uses credit cards, debit cards, smart cards, key fobs, and other devices like smartphones and other mobile devices that use radio-frequency identification (RFID) or near-field communication (NFC, e.g. Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or any bank mobile app that will support contactless).

These RFID or NFC typically do not require signatures which is a blessing during hectic times. Restaurants at peak dinner rush and sporting event ticket sales are ideal for contactless payment systems to get through the volume of customers quickly.

  • Check your statement often. Customers would rather receive a call from you telling them that you overcharged them and you are fixing the problem, than having to contact you to call you out on your error. Be proactive.

Call PayProTec West Coast today for a review of your statement to find the hidden charges your bank is not telling you about (949) 427-5108, Ext. 700 or send an email to info@payprotecwestcoast.com
